1. Early registration is due October 15, 2009. It will be $85 per runner if we register by then. If we wait, it will jump up to $100 per runner. Personally, I would like to save the $15, so I wanted to check if people are comfortable with registration this early. The fees are nonrefundable.
2. I think it would be fun to have a team meeting. Everyone (in Tucson at least) could meet each other and we could start figuring out some of the details regarding the race while enjoying some good food. I was thinking of the weekend of October 2nd-4th; Friday or Saturday evening would most likely be best for the majority of the people. What do you guys think of the idea? I'll be happy to have it at my place.
3. Karen Boerup is our newest addition:) So we need three more runners.
4. I am so excited to run this relay with you guys. I think we have a fabulous and fun group of people running together, which is the most important thing about this relay.
5. I tried to find a cool background for the blog that would fit the theme of the blog. I was unsuccessful, so if anyone finds one, please feel free to add it. Also everyone is welcome to add things to the blog and post stuff as much as they want.
woot wooot! I am so excited! I am all for a team get together! If you cant find a place to do it, we can always have it at my house too. Whatever you want! I am excited to meet everyone and start training again.
ReplyDeleteSat, Oct 3rd is General Conference and we might be out of town.
ReplyDeleteI realized that it is the General COnference weekend, so we would have to do it on Friday night or just do it the next week...what does everyone think? I just would like to meet up before the early registration deadline.
ReplyDeletethat friday would work for me...the next weekend we're going to be out of town sat and sun...
ReplyDeleteThat weekend works for me. I'll be honest, I'm excited AND nervous about this! I know it will be fun, especially with a great group. It's just time to get busy training. I'm ready to do the early registration but want to address the "what if something happens" question. If for some reason I'm unable to run the race then I'm responsible for finding a replacement, right?
